Sustainable Development Goal
Sustainability is a social goal for people to co-exist on Earth over a long time. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of United Nation planned which were adopted by all UN member states including Pakistan in 2015 with an ambitious plan for ending poverty, fighting inequality and building peaceful, just and sustainable societies by 2030. The University of Malakand and its stakeholders are playing a frontline role in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan for a sustainable future through their research, teaching and community outreach activities within the country by generating new knowledge, innovations, skills and opportunities that provide solutions to the interconnected social, economic and environmental challenges captured in the SDGs. As educators and researcher, University of Malakand equips its students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to contribute towards UN SDGs in Pakistan and abroad in order to create a sustainable future. Not only its regular students, but the University also offers distance learning education, vocational courses and training, livelihood generation and tourism facilitation within Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The University fully supported the local communities, government, health department and administration department in different disasters, in flood, earth quick, COVID Pandemic provide facilities like Quarantine Centers, ambulances, logistic support, free sanitizers, masks, medicines to put its contribution in target related to health indicators.
